WHAT IS A TCG?

Can't find the information you're looking for here? Contact me and I will answer your question ASAP.

|| TRADING CARD GAMES
TCGs are simply Trading Card Games which you play online instead of in person. Rather than buying new cards in a store and trading with your friends, you display your cards on a website and trade with your fellow members via email. The cards in question are created using a graphics program and you earn more by playing games and participating in other activities. The aim of the game is to collect all the cards in a particular set and become a master of that set. TCGs are free to play , lots of fun and a great way to make new friends.

|| STARTER PACK
When you join Sugar & Spice you instantly receive a Starter Pack containing a small number of cards with which you can start your collection. Starter Packs include a variety of cards including 3 cards from your favourite set (ie. your Collecting deck), 7 random regular cards, 1 random special card, 3 ingredient cards and 1 recipe.

|| TRADE POST
Once you have your Starter Pack you must upload your cards to your own server or an image hosting site such as Photobucket then display them on your site (or tumblr, LJ etc). In order to help your fellow members out, it is strongly recommended that you organize your cards into different categories indicating which cards you are collecting, those you want to keep and which you are willing to trade. Along with your cards your Trade Post should contain details of the number of cards you have and how much they are worth, along with a link back to Sugar & Spice and a way for fellow members to contact you with trade offers (ie. your email address or a trade form). Most importantly you must have a detailed Trade Log letting me know how and when you earned your cards. If you are confused about how your Trade Post should look and what your Trade Log should consist of, you can visit my own trade post.

|| TRADING
Trading is an integral part of TCGs and at Sugar & Spice it is actively encouraged. As far as I am concerned trading is all good; it is a great way to find cards you are collecting plus frequent traders are rewarded with extra cards and, perhaps best of all, you get to know your fellow members better. Trading is very simple; all you have to do is visit a fellow member's site and if you see a card you would like to have, offer the member a trade. Most members have Trade Forms installed on their sites which provide a quick and easy way to contact them for trades, alternatively you can use the trade form on the members' individual Profile page. In my opinion however the easiest method of trading is using the trading centre where you will often receive the quickest response.
