Sugar & Spice is a food TCG created in tribute to the sadly defunct Bon Appetit. Our cards feature all your favourite foods whilst our Interactive section boasts game solely based on the culinary world.
Uniquely food TCGs provide you with the opportunity to bake your own cards in our kitchen. Sadly however, these concepts were not created by me and instead the credit goes elsewhere. Here is a brief rundown of how Sugar & Spice came to be...
|| IN THE BEGINNING
Late in 2004 my good friend Rainey introduced me to the TCG world, and, like many others before me, I was soon hooked. Eventually I was hit by the bug that gets so many of us - I wanted to try running my own TCG. In the summer of 2006 I identified a gap in the TCG market and opened The One With - a Friends TCG. Like many of its predecessors the TCG was short-lived despite having relative success; I found running a TCG dedicated to one subject suffocating. Then came Evergreen featuring my beloved Westlife. Despite outliving The One With the TCG was eventually brought down by the pressures of university. The game remains on hiatus to this day and has yet to be confined to the graveyard indefinitely.

Next came the entertainment TCG A-List. After months of preparation A-List opened for business in January 2007 and closed in the late summer of 2008.
|| SUGAR & SPICE
In late 2007, despite being kept more than busy by A-List, I noticed a gap in the TCG market - people were literally crying out for a food TCG. It seemed that whenever one cropped up it disappeared within a short space of time and I decided I wanted to do something about it!
I knew it was impossible to better the original and best food TCG - Bon Appetit - so decided I wanted to borrow as many of the TCG's features as possible. I tried contacting the owners Katia and Tina for permission to use their ideas but neither of them got in touch so I figured I should just go ahead...
Six months later Sugar & Spice opened for prejoin.
May 2009 saw the game's first birthday but also it's sad closure due to real life.
